Die fast zur Gänze erhalten gebliebenen Bestände des Bibliotheksvereins Jirásek zeigen, wie eine typische tschechische Arbeiterbibliothek um 1900 ausgesehen hat. Der Bibliotheksverein diente in der NS-Zeit auch als Versammlungsort politischer und kultureller Opposition.
